Rowen Colman  BCom, CA
Chief Financial Officer

Mr Colman is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of successful senior financial management experience in various global industries and holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce from the University of NSW, Australia and a Certificate in Governance Practice from the Governance Institute of Australia. Following years spent as Development Director for a major sovereign wealth fund in the Middle East managing multiple global development projects, Mr Colman has more recently focused his expertise on the resource industry. Mr Colman is Chief Financial Officer of Forsys Metals Corp., a TSX listed uranium developer and also Chief Financial Officer of Caravel Minerals Limited an ASX listed gold and base metals explorer.

Simon Robertson  BCom, MAppFin, CA
Company Secretary

Mr Robertson holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University in Western Australia and Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in New South Wales. He is a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants and the Governance Institute of Australia. Mr Robertson currently holds the position of Company Secretary for a number of publically listed companies and has extensive experience in corporate finance, accounting and administration, capital raisings and ASX compliance and regulatory requirements.

Nick Rowley  BCom, GradDipAppFinInv
Director - Investor Relations

Mr Rowley holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University Of Notre Dame Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Mr Rowley previously worked as an Investment Advisor for Bell Potter Securities Limited for 9 years where he gained widespread experience in equities markets, advising domestic and international Institutional sales and high net worth individuals.  He also advised on the equity financings of numerous ASX and TSX listed companies.

Allen Qian MBA
Managing Director – Chemical Division

Mr. Qian has solid operational and business management experience in the chemical and automotive industries in China.  His previous major career history includes Managing Director roles with two public companies for more than six years and almost seven years’ service with General Motors in various engineering & management functions. Mr Qian obtained a dual Bachelor of Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Jingyuan Liu PhD
General Manager Development

Dr Liu has over 20 years experience in project management, process design and equipment design involving mineral processing, chemical industries, non-ferrous industries, iron & steel industries and energy industries.  He has a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked at a senior design role in a mineral processing equipment provider.  He also worked as a consultant in Hatch prior to joining Galaxy.

Frank Shi

Operations Director - Chemical Division

Mr Shi has over 21 years of operational management experience in China including  11 years with multinational chemical companies such as Wacker and Dow Chemical.  He was previously the plant manager of Wacker Chemical (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd.  Mr. Shi received his Master of Business Administration from Nanjing University and his Bachelor of Engineering from Nanjing University of Science & Technology.  He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from Steinbeis University Berlin.

Iain Scarr

General Manager - Argentina

Mr. Scarr joined Galaxy as part of the merger with Lithium One, where he was Vice President – Development. After joining Lithium one in September 2009, Mr. Scarr elected in March 2010 to move to Argentina, where he could focus his activities mainly on the Sal de Vida project. On the merger with Galaxy Resources he became the Company’s General Manager for Argentina, leading the Sal de Vida project through completion of the feasibility study, and now finalizing the environmental permitting, and preparing and preparing for the detailed engineering and construction phase for this world-class future lithium brine extraction and chemical refining operation.

Mr. Scarr holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Geology) from California State University, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. Born in the United Kingdom, after many years living in the United States, he currently resides in Salta and Cordoba, Argentina.
