Galaxy's primary focus is lithium exploration and production with tantalum as a secondary product. The Company holds a portfolio of projects in Western Australia at various stages of development. Other commodities in Galaxy's Western Australia portfolio include base metals (copper-gold, nickel), gold, iron ore, rare earths and uranium.
Galaxy's Mt Cattlin Project near Ravensthorpe has been in production since 2010. At Mt Cattlin, Galaxy mines pegmatite and processes it into spodumene concentrate, with tantalum produced as a by-product.
Ponton, Shoemaker, Connolly and Boxwood Hill are all greenfields targets believed by the Board to be in prospective geological locations.
Galaxy holds a 20% interest in the Shoemaker Project under a joint venture with General Mining Corporation Ltd.
